  3. Sharpening

    Assess and repair

    Each knife is checked over, and any chips, broken tips, or damage are fixed.

    Setup

    Our tooling is set up to match the existing edge angle or establish a new angle for more involved repairs.

    Sharpen and hone

    Sharpened with industrial precision on a Swedish Tormek T8. This machine uses sophisticated jigs to support sharpening across a slow, water-cooled grinding wheel. We use this method because it's exceptionally precise and protects knives from overheating during sharpening.

    The edge is honed with special compound on leather to a mirror finish.

    Test and pack

    The edge is tested, then wrapped for the trip home.
